TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) – Florida’s two main political parties are getting tens of thousands of dollars from groups who had a stake in what happened during this year’s legislative session.

The Republican Party of Florida and Florida Democratic Party on Monday turned in their fundraising reports for the first three month of 2016.

Republicans reported raising more than $1.55 million during that time period, including $95,000 that came from a political committee connected to Gov. Rick Scott. The donors include health care companies, gambling interests and one of the state’s main red light camera vendors. A bill to ban red light cameras was defeated during the session.

Democrats took in more than $682,000, including money from law firms and the state’s teacher union.

Scott’s political committee reported raising more than $1 million during the first three months, while a GOP committee run by Sen. Joe Negron raised $1.05 million.
