LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- The principal of Mirror Lakes Elementary School has been suspended pending a professional standards review, the Lee County School District said.
Multiple sources say Dwayne Courtney was escorted out of the school by the district’s professional standards division, something a school district spokesperson denies.
The reason behind Courtney’s suspension has not been released but school district officials say he is suspended with pay.
