Thief snatches victim’s phone at Fort Myers store

FORT MYERS, Fla.- A man was targeted by a thief who stole his cellphone at the Bravo Supermarket, 4031 Palm Beach Boulevard, on Tuesday, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

The victim was walking and removed his cellphone from his pocket before the suspect snatched the phone from the victim’s hand and fled, police said.

The suspect was last seen running into the Harbor Palms Apartments located at 4100 Edgewood Avenue.

The suspect is described as being approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, 30 to 40 years of age, medium build, with a beard and a receding hairline. He was wearing a black zippered sweatshirt or jacket, red shorts, a white shirt, and red sneakers.
