NAPLES, Fla. – A dark-colored sedan blocked a local man’s car into a driveway behind St. John Neumann High School and its driver attempted to rob him at gunpoint in the third incident in a string of robberies this month.

The victim said he couldn’t drive away because the suspect was parked behind him. He went to the hospital where he required stitches after the masked robber beat him up.

“The guy gets out, knocks on my window and that’s when he is like “Give me your phone. Give me your keys. Give me your wallet,” the victim said. “I like didn’t give him anything so he hit me a couple times.”

The robber then got in his car and drove away.

Two other men were robbed in a similar way this month: one on Bayshore Drive in early April and another on Santa Barbara Boulevard a week later.

Deputies have not said whether the incidents are related. No suspect has been arrested or charged.
