2 arrested in Port Charlotte shooting

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Two men were arrested, accused of shooting at another man early Monday morning, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said.

Mac Daniel Stainton, 18, and Malik Walker, 20, are facing charges for aggravated assault with a weapon and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

The victim was riding his bicycle along Conway Boulevard shortly after 1 a.m. when he said shots were fired at him from a blue Dodge Charger. The victim was not injured, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspects were located shortly after by deputies on Westchester Road.
