North Port man allegedly attacks woman with machete

NORTH PORT, Fla. — A North Port man is accused of attacking a woman with a machete.

North Port Police arrived on scene to find the woman bloody and unconscious while Ricky Deising, 58, held a bloody machete shortly after 7 p.m. Friday evening at a home on the 3000 block of Narcissus Terrace, North Port officials said.

The woman is expected to survive her injuries, the officials added. Police used a taser to subdue Deising. Both were taken to separate hospitals.
