Vigils, services, memorials for Orlando shooting planned across SWFL

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Vigils, services and memorials in the wake of the Orlando shooting are happening across Southwest Florida this week. Here are a few we know are taking place:

  • Florida Gulf Coast University campus vigil, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Veterans Pavilion, FGCU campus
  • St. John XXIII Catholic Church special mass and prayer service, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, 13060 Palomino Lane, Fort Myers
  • Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers vigil, 7 p.m. Wednesday, 13411 Shire Ln, Fort Myers
  • Fort Myers Memorial Gardens open house, 5:30-6:30 p.m. (prayer service at 6 p.m.) Thursday, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers
  • Bambusa Bar & Grill vigil, 6 p.m. Thursday, 600 Goodlette Road, Naples
  • Saint John the Apostle Metropolitan Community Church vigil, 7 p.m. Thursday, 3049 McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers
  • Pride SWFL memorial, 7 p.m. Saturday, Centennial Park, 2000 W. First St., Fort Myers
