FORT MYERS, Fla.- A man was arrested Thursday morning in connection to the murder of a woman in 1993, the Fort Myers Police Department said. Angelo E. Ruth, 60, is facing second degree murder charges for the death of Mattie Henry. In September 1993, Henry’s body was found by the Highlands East Recreation Center on Canal Street, police said. “Cooperative efforts between the Fort Myers Police Department and the Office of the State Attorney enabled Mattie Henry’s killer be brought to justice and help bring a sense of closure to her family”, said Chief Dennis Eads. Ruth is being held on a $200,000 bond.
