Arrests made in Brittany Bay home invasion robbery

GOLDEN GATE ESTATES, Fla. — Collier County deputies have made arrests in connection to a home invasion robbery that took place early Thursday at the Brittany Bay Apartments near Collier Boulevard.

Yasmani Blanco-Diaz, 23, and Emmanuel Hernandez and Yoel Gonzalez, both 21, are in custody for allegedly forcing their way into an apartment on the 14900 block of Coastal Bay Circle at around 3 a.m. They fired gunshots, according to police reports, but no one was injured.

They all face robbery and assault charges, as well as grand theft charges for making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry and prescription pain pills, authorities say. Blanco-Diaz also faces charges of resisting arrest without violence for allegedly fleeing on foot when officers tried to arrest him.
