FORT MYERS, Fla. – The first weekend of summer calls for a celebration and what better way to celebrate than with an ice cold beer. Fort Myers Brewing is once again holding their annual SummerFest. The festival not only celebrates the season but local craft beer, where beer lovers can try more than 40 on tap. A beer schedule on Saturday, features 21 beers all day long, mainly Fort Myers Brewing classics and a variety of specialty beers are tapped at noon, 3:00, 6:00 and 8:30 p.m. Festivities get underway Friday, with a pig roast by Gator Johns and live music from the Ben Allen Band. Saturday, enjoy all the specialty craft brews throughout the day along with six food trucks and live music as The Mangrooves take the stage from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 at night. The party continues Sunday, with a Hangover Brunch from Gretchen’s Country Kitchen, “beermosas” and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. enjoy live music from The Sweet Tease. SummerFest is free and open to the public, Fort Myers Brewing Company is located at 12811 Commerce Lakes Drive, suite 27-28.
