NAPLES, Fla. — A family returned from vacation to find an estimated $7,000 in damage done to their newly remodeled home on the 2600 block of 66th Street thanks to a housesitter gone wild, according to a Collier County Sheriff’s Department police report. North Naples resident Alexandra Nickander, 19, held an unauthorized three-day house party and documented it on social media, the sheriff’s office said. A chandelier, kitchen cabinets, floors, carpets, lanai screens, electrical and pool equipment were among the items damaged or destroyed in the shindig, according to the report. Smoke damage was visible on the lanai overhang, plus towels and about $800 in wine were missing, too. A member of the family reached out to Nickander in an attempt to solve the matter without police involvement, but the teen was uncooperative, the sheriff’s office said. Nickander faces felony criminal mischief and grand theft charges. She’s out of jail after posting $10,000 bond, county records show.
