VIDEO: Dead manatee pulled from troubled east coast water

STUART, Fla. — The body of a deceased manatee was pulled from the water in Stuart, a Martin County city hard-hit by toxic blue-green algae.

It’s a potential sign of the water issues that have prompted a state of emergency for Martin, St. Lucie, Palm Beach and Lee counties. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission is performing a necropsy to determine the cause of death.
