Heat, spotty storms to continue Friday

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The hot weather is expected to continue across Southwest Florida on Friday, when highs will be near 95 and heat indices will rise to between 100 and 105.

Isolated areas will see heat indices as high as 110.

Before that, a slight chance of lingering showers exists at sunrise, with a mix of sun and clouds and warm and humid conditions throughout the morning. A slight chance of rain exists for lunchtime, but it’ll otherwise be mostly dry.

A few spotty storms will work their way in during the afternoon and evening, with a continued mix of sun and clouds. Lows tonight will dip only to near 78.
