MIAMI (AP) – Police say they evacuated a Miami children’s hospital after a possible bomb threat.

A news release from the Miami-Dade Police Department says officers evacuated Nicklaus Children’s Hospital as a precaution after receiving a call just before 3 p.m. Friday regarding a possible bomb threat and shooting.

Police reported over social media about three hours after the initial call that officers had conducted a preliminary search and did not find an active shooter or explosive devices at the hospital. They say they’re continuing to investigate.
