A body was found in the area of Goodwin Street early Sunday morning after the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of multiple gunshots. (Andrew Scheinthal/WINK News) NAPLES, Fla. – The two men found dead near the 700 block of Goodlette Road North on July 7 were shot to death, according to a medical examiner. John Vargas, 29, and Xavier Sierra, 18 were identified last week. A release provided by the Naples Police Department Wednesday did not provide details into the condition of the men’s bodies but noted the causes of death. NPD has opened a homicide investigation for both men, officers said Wednesday. They said the incident involving the pair’s death was isolated.
