Sebring woman killed in crash on US 27

SEBRING, Fla. — The driver of a Chevrolet Malibu is dead and her passenger is in the hospital with serious injuries after a one-vehicle crash Tuesday night at the corner of U.S. 27 and Tanglewood Drive, Florida Highway Patrol said.

Sebring resident Carissa Simone Price, 27, was pronounced dead on the scene after the car she was driving northbound on U.S. 27 spun out of control and hit a tree in the median at about 9:45 p.m., according to FHP. Her passenger, 27-year-old Bryan Wayne Hanna, went to Florida Heartland Hospital Medical Center.

The cause of the crash is unknown. No further information is immediately available.
