FORT MYERS, Fla. — A crash caused a vehicle to overturn, left diesel fuel in the road and temporarily closed eastbound and westbound lanes on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Cranford Avenue shortly before 10 a.m. Friday, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

Westbound lanes reopened just before 11 a.m., according to the department’s Instagram page, and a department spokesman said at about 1 p.m. that traffic was moving again in both directions.

At least two vehicles were involved in the wreck, which caused minor injuries, police said. Crews anticipated the fuel cleanup in the eastbound lanes would take awhile.

No further information is immediately available.
