FHP identifies victim in Tice hit-and-run

TICE, Fla. – A woman, Xiomara Oliva de Garcia, was killed while crossing Palm Beach Boulevard near Waverly Avenue on Sunday around 5:30 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An unknown car was driving eastbound when it struck Garcia, FHP said. The impact of the crash sent her flying, then tumbling; she landed in the middle of the intersection, according to FHP.

The car responsible for hitting her, sped away.
