FORT MYERS, Fla. — Four men tried to fire a gun at another during an attempted robbery Monday night in a parking lot on the 2300 block of Willard Street, but the gun wouldn’t work, leading them to pistol whip the victim instead, police said.

Fort Myers resident Kerry Antoine, 21, was arrested in connection to the incident. He’s in custody on $150,000 bond and facing four charges, three of them felonies. Three others remain at large.

The victim, 64-year-old Franket Celestin, 64, was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with injuries to his head and abdomen. His condition is unknown.
