FORT MYERS, Fla. — The summer pattern is back in full force around Southwest Florida.

Highs will be near 93 as the rain-cooled weather of the early part of the week becomes a distant memory. Heat indices will soar to between 100 and 105.

It’ll be humid and mostly dry before noon as temperatures gradually warm, with only a slight chance of rain in eastern Glades County near Lake Okeechobee. Scattered storms will develop across the area by afternoon, with the best chance of rain during the late afternoon and early evening. Otherwise, a mix of sun and clouds will be seen in the sky throughout the day.

Lows tonight will dip to near 75.
