Tropical Storm Fiona expected to weaken this weekend

MIAMI (AP) – Tropical Storm Fiona is still moving across the Atlantic but poses no threat to Southwest Florida.

Fiona’s maximum sustained winds were near 45 mph early Friday, with weakening expected to begin this weekend.

Fiona is centered about 1,240 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands and is moving west-northwest near 10 mph.
