
FORT MYERS, Fla. – A teenage driver was cited for crashing into a school bus carrying 30 Lee County students Wednesday afternoon.
The 17-year-old male failed to slow down before hitting the school bus on Daniels Parkway, just south of State Road 82, just before 3 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol said. The driver was cited for careless driving.
No students reported injuries. The bus only sustained minor damage, FHP said.
The crash was not alcohol-related, troopers said.
