NORTH NAPLES, Fla. — Flames were extinguished from a house fire in Naples Park early Tuesday morning.

The house was located at 743 108th Avenue N. in Naples Park in Naples. A neighbor smelled smoke from their house and called 911, alerting emergency respondents to the fire.

The flames were approximately 20 feet high. There were 26 firefighters at the scene, and they put the fire out in almost five minutes, the North Collier Fire Assistant Chief said.

The house was empty at the time of the fire, as the renter changed her residence two weeks ago, neighbors said.

No injuries were reported, the North Collier Fire Assistant Chief said.

At this point, the nature of the blaze is “suspicious,” and North Collier Fire officials are currently searching for the cause.

No additional information was immediately available.
