Wyoming fugitive arrested in Naples in connection to car death

NAPLES, Fla. – A Wyoming fugitive was arrested Thursday and is facing charges for vehicular homicide, according to Collier County arrest records.

Jason Alexander Macias, 28, was wanted in Sweetwater County after 21-year-old Bonny Wood died as a passenger in a one-vehicle wreck on Aug. 7, according to media reports. Macias was driving the vehicle and was ejected with Wood, while two children suffered various injuries, according to local media.

Macias tested positive for amphetamine and benzodiazepines before being treated at a hospital, records show. He has an arrest record for drug and robbery charges in Collier County that dates back to 2006.
