Body found in south Fort Myers business park

SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — A body was found inside a business park Monday morning, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities responded to The Diamond Professional Center at 6150 Diamond Centre Court in south Fort Myers but provided few details. The identity of the body, which was removed from the scene at about 2:30 p.m., and the circumstances of the death are unclear.

Sheriff’s office investigators spent more than 10 hours Monday combing through a nearby wooded area and interviewed employees with Pinnacle Landscapes Inc., a lawn and landscaping firm. They took photos of their trailer and mowing equipment, and they also went inside the Reliance Bank at 14241 Metro Parkway and looked through surveillance video.
