SANIBEL, Fla. — The CROW Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, Inc. needs help naming their newest Animal Ambassador.

A burrowing owl was admitted to CROW’s wildlife hospital in Cape Coral on June 19 with a broken wing after allegedly being struck by a car.

CROW’s veterinary staff performed surgery, but unfortunately the wing did not heal properly. Without full flight capabilities the owl would not be able to hunt for itself in the wild, thus making it non-releasable.

The owl will now be utilized in CROW’s educational programs as an Animal Ambassador.

Here is a list of suggested names:
• Ollie
• Hoolio
• Hubert
• Houdini
• Howler

Voting ends Friday, Oct. 28 and the winning name will be announced on Halloween.
