Authorities return to cat hoarder’s home in hazmat suits

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Authorities removed five cats from the home of Gail Andrews on Thursday.

In 2010, investigators found her mother’s body among 30 years of untouched trash at the home, which was then condemned.

On Thursday, conditions in the home were so bad, animal service workers were forced to wear hazmat suits. Crews will return to the home to recover additional cats.
