Naples council members mull expansion at Baker Park

NAPLES, Fla. – Council members are proposing a $1 million expansion of the covered pavilion to be built at the city’s $16 million park.

The design of Baker Park is only 30 percent complete, but the suggested change is a response to feedback from taxpayers, Councilman Sam Saad said Thursday. Naples residents say they want more space for outdoor concerts, which currently are held at Cambier Park.

The proposed pavilion would be four times larger than the originally designed pavilion.
