Naples aide pleads not guilty to student assault charge

NAPLES, Fla. — A Collier County teacher’s aide pleaded “Not Guilty” to slapping a blind elementary school student, according to court reports.

47-year-old Barbara Margaron was not in court when she entered her plea, but faces battery charges.

Margaron was caught on camera slapping the child at Big Cypress Elementary School, according to investigators.

Her next court appearance is Dec. 21.
