Lee schools superintendent optimistic about lofty goals

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Lee County school superintendent is expressing optimism about reaching his goal of making the district one of the five best in the state by 2020.

The district is moving forward with the “Vision 2020” plan that Superintendent Dr. Greg Atkins authored. It makes recommendations for teacher training and retention as well as student achievement.
