ESTERO, Fla. — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office shut down a hookah lounge this weekend, and owners of nearby businesses say it comes as no surprise. The Layla Hookah Lounge, 20041 South Tamiami Trail, Suite 7, was closed after deputies identified multiple code violations, including a number of occupants nearly three times its capacity. Lounge ownership could not be reached for comment.
