Suspects sought in Naples vandalism

NAPLES, Fla. — When 93-year-old Charles Farmer arrived for work Thursday morning, he was greeted with hateful graffiti.

The images covered the back of the building at U.S. 41 and Third Avenue South and included derogatory terms, a swastika and pornographic images.

There was a reference to president-elect Donald Trump.

Farmer, along with tenants and other employees who work in the building, were upset and called police.
“It has to be some kind of a mental idiot that would do something like that,” he said.

Detectives took photos of the scene and are searching for the vandals. The property manager hired a painting company to cover up the hateful images.

Farmer said he’s never seen anything like this in the years he’s worked in Naples.
“I hope I never see it again,” he said.
