Fort Myers police seek tobacco shop wallet snatcher

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A shopper stole another customer’s wallet from the counter of a tobacco store, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

The victim unknowingly left his black wallet sitting on the counter at Smokers Fantasy on 5100 S. Cleveland Ave. The suspect noticed the wallet and purposely concealed it from employees before leaving, police said.

Fort Myers police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the unidentified suspect, who would face grand theft charges if arrested.
