CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Surveillance footage showed what appeared to be a thief stealing hundreds of dollars worth of construction tools Sunday morning from a local clinic.

The man is accused of stealing about $1,000 worth of power tools from the soon-to-open Jaffe Sports Medicine on Del Prado Boulevard near Viscaya Parkway.

“We’re believing this is a one-time incident and we’re really hoping that they’re going to catch this guy, so it doesn’t happen to us or anyone else,” said Jordan Jaffe, the owner of the business.

If caught, the accused thief would face felony and grand theft charges.

The clinic is set to open in two weeks as scheduled.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact the Cape Coral Police Department at 239-574-3223.
