CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A 37-year-old Rhode Island man was sentenced Monday to 25 years for his role in a deadly July 2015 crash on Veterans Memorial Parkway near Skyline Boulevard.
Montaigu Moselle had a blood-alcohol level of 0.214, nearly three times the legal limit, at the time of the wreck that killed Paul Ortiz, 84, and Joan Ortiz, 78, both of Salem, S.C., investigators said. A jury convicted him on two counts of DUI manslaughter in November 2016.
