$3M Naples home bursts into flames

NAPLES, Fla. A family stared in horror Tuesday as their home went up in flames.

Greater Naples Fire Rescue was called to a structure fire at 205 North Lake Dr. around 6:30 p.m. after the homeowner saw the fire in the garage.

Firefighters arrived and found the flames spreading from the garage to the main home.

However. they worked quickly and were able to contain the fire to the garage.

The family was evacuated safely from the home, firefighters said.

There were six cars destroyed in the fire, including a Jaguar, Mercedes and an Austin-Healey, according to firefighters. Many of these cars were collectibles.

The family was checked out by EMS and no injuries were reported. While the main home was shielded from the flames, it’s been deemed unlivable because of smoke damage.

It’s currently unclear what caused the blaze.
