FORT MYERS, Fla. The FGCU women’s basketball team defeated Jacksonville University 68-64 Wednesday night, advancing to the Atlantic Sun championship.
This is the sixth consecutive year the Eagles have made it to the conference title game. Last year, the Eagles lost at home to the Dolphins in the championship game, preventing the Eagles from securing a spot in the NCAA tournament.
FGCU will play Stetson University for an NCAA berth Sunday in Deland at 3 p.m.
