$1M bond set for Fort Myers nightclub homicide suspect

FORT MYERS, Fla. Bond was set at more than $1 million Thursday for a suspect arrested in connection with a weekend shooting outside a nightclub, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Kahleel Perez, 21, of Fort Myers is one of three men accused of killing Rogerio Anjos, otherwise known as DJ Roger Brazil, early Saturday morning outside the Scarlett’s Cabaret on 3650 Fowler St. Two additional suspects were identified Wednesday.

Perez faces charges of second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and using a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to deputies. His total bond is $1,050,000.

His next court appearance is set for 8:30 a.m. May 8 at the Lee County Courthouse on 1700 Monroe St.
