Crash snarls I-75 northbound in Charlotte County

Published: Updated:

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. A crash at mile marker 176 of Interstate 75 backed up northbound traffic for several miles, the Charlotte County Traffic Incident Management department said.

The crash took place around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A dump truck rolled over and spilled fuel, the department said. The fuel has since been cleaned up.

Two of the three northbound lanes reopened by 1:30 p.m., but residual traffic congestion remained, according to the department.
