ESTERO, Fla. A second suspect was arrested Friday in connection with a string of car burglaries that took place at hotels on Christmas, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

De’Andrew Twiggs Walker, 19, of Ridge Pointe Drive in Orlando, is facing 81 burglary charges. Another suspect from Orlando, Tyrelle J. Doby, was arrested in December.

There were 75 burglaries in 83 break-ins at the Embassy Suites and the Hampton Inn & Suites just off Interstate-75 at Corkscrew road, police reports show. At least five people at the Courtyard at Estero also reported break-ins, deputies said in December.

An investigation continues. The sheriff’s office said in December that multiple suspects were involved, but it’s unclear how many suspects there are.

Walker is also facing grand theft, petit theft and criminal mischief charges. He’s in custody on $230,000 bond.
