NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. The Florida Everblades lost to the South Carolina Stingrays 4-2 Wednesday night in Game 4 of the South Division Finals at the North Charleston Coliseum. The victory gives the Stingrays a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. After a scoreless first period, the Stingrays netted a goal off of Steven McParland at 1:36 of the second. South Carolina was awarded a penalty shot almost 90 seconds later, in which Domenic Monardo beat Florida goalie Anthony Peters, giving the Stingrays a 2-0 lead. South Carolina extended its lead further with another goal by Rob Flick. The Blades managed to put one on the scoreboard at 12:38 in the second when John McCarron delivered a shot by Stingrays goalie Parker Milner. Four minutes later, the Blades pulled in another goal from Stephen MacAulay, making it a 3-2 game. The Blades tried to tie the game in the third, but Milner blocked all ten shots. South Carolina also added another goal in the final minutes to seal the 4-2 victory. The two teams will face off in Game 4 at the North Charleston Coliseum on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
