
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. Midway Boulevard from Orlando Boulevard to Beacon Drive was reopened Tuesday afternoon after heavy rains flooded the road and reduced traffic to one lane, the Charlotte County Public Works Department said.
A construction contractor worked to get the water down for over an hour in order to reopen the road.
