PUNTA GORDA, Fla. A curfew was enacted Saturday afternoon for all of Charlotte County, according to the Charlotte County Emergency Operations Center. Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell enacted the curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and it will be in place until further notice, officials said. The curfew applies for all citizens, with the exception of emergency personnel and those commuting to and from work for essential functions, officials said. The curfew order also restricts the sale of alcoholic beverages in Charlotte County, officials said.
