Boil water notices issued for Collier County, Naples

NAPLES, Fla. Boil water notices have been issued for Collier County and the city of Naples.

Collier County Water District customers are advised to biol water until further notice because of Hurricane Irma’s effect on the water infrastructure, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Breaks in the water distribution system prompted the boil water notice in Naples. Service will be restored once bacteria tests come up clean.

A precautionary boil water notice was issued Saturday in Lee County, effective until further notice, in anticipation of Irma’s landfall.
