Harry Chapin Food Bank calls for donations following Irma

FORT MYERS, Fla. Southwest Florida residents can donate items to help those affected by Hurricane Irma

The Harry Chapin Food Bank will be taking donations for the following items beginning from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday to the food bank on 3760 Fowler St.:

  • Canned items with pull up tops
  • Protein in pouches or pull up tops including tuna, beef stew, chili, and canned chicken
  • Peanut butter
  • Snacks including granola bars and breakfast bars
  • Toiletries
  • Paper products
  • Diapers
  • Cleaning supplies including mops, mop buckets, brooms, bleach wipes, bleach, garbage bags, and bug spray
