Flooding hits Bonita Springs senior community twice

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. No power, no food, no help.

People in the 55-plus Citrus Park community are pleading for assistance as they continue to deal with serious flooding from Hurricane Irma.

“Nobody’s here to help us,” resident Joan Luiz said. “I can’t believe this. I just can’t believe it.”

The neighborhood was also deluged with floodwaters after heavy rain two weeks ago. This time, some of the homes have missing roofs, and car ports have been blown away.
