Boil water notice lifted in most of Collier County

NAPLES, Fla. The water is safe in most of Collier County again.

Collier County Utilities is lifting its boil water notice in place since Hurricane Irma passed county spokesman Troy Miller said Wednesday.

But the boil water notice remains in effect in Everglades City, and a boil water notice for FGUA customers in Golden Gate and Naples is still in place, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Collier County Utilities customers are still urged to conserve water and not to use dishwashers and washing machines to prevent sewage backups.

The City of Marco Island lifted its boil water notice earlier this week.
