Five arrested in connection with Lehigh Acres robbery

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. Five people were arrested Thursday in connection with a robbery near 14th Street Southwest, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

A victim was robbed and chased after by suspects at around 11 a.m. in the area of 14th Street Southwest and Douglas Avenue South, deputies said.

Jeff Casimir, 19, Ricardo Ramirez Tunales, 19, Jose Olvera, 20, and two juveniles, who will not be named due to their age, were accused of ramming their car into the victim’s car to make him stop, then jumping out of the car and assaulting the victim, deputies said.

The suspects were later detained during a traffic stop, deputies said.

All of the suspects face charges of robbery with a firearm, deputies said. Casimir faces an additional charge of leaving the scene of a crash involving damage to property.
