2 injured in shooting in front of Fort Myers apartment complex

Two people were hurt in a shooting Monday morning in front of an apartment complex near Cleveland Avenue, according to Fort Myers Police Department spokesman Jay Rodriguez.

Officers responded around 8:30 a.m. to the apartment complex on Maple Avenue and Royal Palm Avenue in reference to shots being fired, according to police.

The two injured were taken to the hospital, according to Rodriguez. No arrests have been made.

There is no danger to the public, according to police.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting were unclear.
