
One person was killed in a crash Wednesday evening in Punta Gorda on Burnt Store Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol a vehicle driven by Melissa Martinez, 43 of Port Charlotte heading south on Burnt Store Rd, in the left turn lane.
The report says Martinez turned left at Alcazar Dr. into the path of another vehicle, being hir on the passenger side.
Passenger Clyde Hancock, 63, was in the passenger seat and died at the scene from his injuries in the crash.
